Let us take some sneak peek on the latest trend from the testing world:

Testing Anywhere:
I have recently started working on testing anywhere, it seems to be a very interesting tool which does not require any scripting language knowledge. Desired actions can simply be selected from the UI.
Developed by San Jose-based Automation Anywhere inc enables " built-in intelligence to your testing, adjusting to changing target applications automatically, and ensuring that tests replay flawlessly every time—with little to no maintenance" as claimed by the manufacturer.

Crowdsourced testing
Crowd technology is the new buzz word, everyday we can come across news from this field.
Similar technology has been incorporated in testing and the practice is known as crowdsourced testing. As defined by wikipidea crowdsourced testing "is an emerging trend in software testing which exploits the benefits, effectiveness, and efficiency of crowdsourcing and the cloud platform. It differs from traditional testing methods in that the testing is carried out by a number of different testers from different places, and not by hired consultants and professionals. The software is put to test under diverse realistic platforms which makes it more reliable, cost-effective, fast, and bug-free.In addition, crowdsource testing allows for remote usability testing because specific target groups can be recruited through the crowd."
It enables testing of a large application in shorter time frame.

As reported in http://www.latestsoftwaretestingnews.com/:
QualiTest Group managed crowdtesting services for Pepsi’s World Cup campaign, achieving full test coverage in a short amount of time. Testing an interactive, dynamic advertisement that was to be run in 40 countries during the FIFA World Cup 2014, the advertisement was also regionally optimized, differing with product offering, language, and regional particulars.
